Dr. Daisuke NUMATA

Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Fukushima University

Dr. Numata obtained his Bachelor, Master and Doctor of Economics at Kobe University in Japan. He was a visiting researcher at International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics in Lund University in Sweden from November 2013 until September 2014.

Dr. Roxana STEGAROIU

Associate Professor, Graduate School of Medical & Dental Sciences, Niigata University

Dr. Stegaroiu obtained her bachelor and Medical Degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania, before moving to Japan. She had then a successful career in academia at Niigata University where she obtained her PhD in 1998 and where she is an associate professor since 2004.

Prof. Dai AOKI

Professor, Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University

Prof. Aoki built his whole career around the subject of Magnetism and Superconductivity. He obtained his PhD in 2000 from Osaka U., then went for a 2 years postdoctoral position at CEA/Grenoble in France. He then secured research positions at the IMR (Tohoku University, 2002) and CEA/Grenoble (2007), before being awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2010. He is now back at Tohoku University as a full professor.

Dr. Sébastien PENMELLEN BORET

Assistant Professor, International Research Institute of Disaster Science, Tohoku University

Dr. Penmellen Boret is a social anthropologist who holds a JSPS postdoctoral fellowship (2012-14), a PhD in Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University (2011) and an M.Phil from the University of Oxford (2005). He has taught in the United Kingdom, Latvia and Japan.
