Prof. Aoki built his whole career around the subject of Magnetism and Superconductivity. He obtained his PhD in 2000 from Osaka U., then went for a 2 years postdoctoral position at CEA/Grenoble in France. He then secured research positions at the IMR (Tohoku University, 2002) and CEA/Grenoble (2007), before being awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2010. He is now back at Tohoku University as a full professor.
EURAXESS is a European Commission initiative providing a complete range of support services to researchers in order for them to advance in their research projects and careers.
 EURAXESS Japan aims to support European and Japanese researchers in finding appropriate funding for their international cooperative research projects between Europe and Japan, help them build their local networks; and assist them in advancing their career through mobility at a global scale. We address to all researchers, from PhD candidate level and above, without restriction on field of activity (humanities and social sciences included!).
